Bios:

  • Dr. Caleb Seung-hyun Han is an Associate Professor of Learning, Leadership and Organization Development (LLOD) at The University of Georgia. Research work of Dr. Han uncovers and tests the mechanisms by which individuals learn and develop from others’ expertise and experiences at work. His primary focus is in individual-level learning within organizations by exploring how this learning is influenced by interpersonal relationships and interactions in organizations. His research publication focuses on knowledge sharing process, knowledge management system, learning organization, and organizational development. For the consulting projects, he has also worked with many global companies such as Hyundai-Kia Motors, POSCO, Samsung, and Nike.

  • Dr. Ciarán McFadden is an Associate Professor in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior at Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland. His research, teaching, and praxis focuses on Equality, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, and takes a cross-disciplinary approach that involves HRD, sociology, labor economics, and psychology. Particularly specializing in LGBTQ workplace inclusion and discrimination, Ciarán was a visiting Fulbright Scholar at the Williams Institute at UCLA where he researched labour market discrimination against trans job applicants. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Academy of HRD, and is a Fellow of the Global Labor Organization.

  • Dr. Marianne van Woerkom is a Professor of Positive Organizational Psychology at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands and affiliated with the Department of Human Resource Studies, Tilburg University, Netherlands. The well-being and development of workers are central themes in her research. Inspired by positive psychology, she is intrigued by the question what happens if we take individual strengths instead of their deficits or weaknesses as the starting point for developmental processes. Marianne publishes her research in journals like Journal of Applied Psychology, European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management Review, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, and Journal of Positive Psychology.
