Bios:
Dr. Katie Bailey is Professor of Work and Employment at King's Business School, King's College London where she is also Head of the HRM & Employment Relations Group. Katie is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences, RSA and Higher Education Academy, Academic Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and Honorary Fellow at the Institute for Employment Studies. Katie's research has focused on meaningful work, employee engagement and strategic HRM and she has published numerous articles on these topics in journals such as the Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review and Journal of Management Studies. She is co-editor of the Oxford Handbook of Meaningful Work, lead editor of Employee Engagement in Theory and Practice (published by Routledge) and has held editorial roles at several leading scholarly journals. Katie has won several top international awards for her research on meaningful work including the 2021 5-year Scholarly Impact Award from Human Resource Management Review, the 2020 Elwood F Holton III Research Excellence Award from Human Resource Development Review, and the 2019 Richard Beckhard Memorial Prize from the Sloan Management Review.
Dr. Sunyoung Park is Associate Professor, Jones S. Davis Endowed Professor in the School of Leadership and Human Resource Development at Louisiana State University. She also serves as Associate Director and Doctoral Program Coordinator in the School. Her research interests include organizational culture and behavior; learning and performance; and research trends in HRD. She has published numerous articles and book chapters related to diverse HRD topics. She has been AHRD Conference Program Chair, Proceeding Editor, and Track Chair. Sunyoung has received several research awards, including the AHRD Early Career Scholar Award and Outstanding Paper Awards from multiple journals. She is an editorial board member for Human Resource Development Quarterly, Human Resource Development Review, and European Journal of Training and Development.
